HESPERIA — An agreed-upon dismissal of a registered sex offender’s federal lawsuit was filed Thursday following a settlement. The suit had been filed in July over delay in approving municipal code changes about “presence restrictions” for sex offenders.
Hesperia city code sections regulating the residency, mobility and business activities of registered sex offenders were preempted by several state laws that, when taken together, form “a standardized, statewide system” to regulate their presence, according to Hesperia’s attorney. Full Article
I was hoping that a public apology would somehow be extracted from that one jerk who said he wished RSOs could be shot.
Too bad they can’t be sued individually for some of those comments.
I hope this means as long as they honor their word. –
“We settled the case for $6,000, and the plaintiff and attorney have agreed to file a dismissal of this suit with prejudice, meaning they will not sue again.”
And what happened to all their big talk, like “were gonna do this and were gonna do that” etc ad nausium? Could it be that it was all a bunch of hot air? Like the people making all the grand remarks?

Children are not even safe around cops in their own back yards.
While dad was not paying attention to his kid, his k9 unit dog (he’s a cop) attacked his child, causing his child’s leg to have to be amputated.
His cop dad is still on duty. Where was dad? He was upstairs, away from his kid.
